The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0, 3.0a - Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, versions 1.1, 3.0

Edits to any View, Table, or Filter currently selected will be applied regardless of whether you select Close or Set from the “Define…” dialog box. Microsoft Project for Windows and Macintosh assumes that edits to the active View, Table, or Filter are to be executed immediately after they have been entered.

Please note that if View File=Don’t Save in Options Preferences, then edits to the View file will be lost when a new view is applied or Project is exited if the file is not manually saved by selecting View, Define Views, Save.
