SUMMARY
Works Version 2.00 running on a Novell Network may display the error message “Cannot access file.” This error message occurs when your directory is a mapped drive, and you do not have rights to access the root directory.
If you have a line in your login script that maps a drive letter (MAP H:=sys:), and you start Works with the “/N” switch using the drive letter as its path (e.g. WORKS /N H:), Works attempts to store your files in the root directory of the mapped drive.
If you do not have rights to the root directory of the mapped drive, Works responds with the error message “Cannot access file.”
