SUMMARY
Once an alarm has been created in Works version 2.00, it can easily be edited to have a different date, time, or message. This article describes how to modify an existing alarm.
MORE INFORMATION
Choose Alarm under the Options menu. The Alarm Clock dialog box appears.
Do the following to create an alarm:
- Type in a simple message, for example, “This is a test.”
- Press the TAB key to move to the Date edit item.
- Enter a date.
- Press the TAB key to move to the Time edit item.
- Enter a time. Press ENTER. You have now set an alarm.
To edit this alarm, press ALT+U to move to the Current Alarms box, then use the arrow keys to highlight the alarm. The alarm information appears in the edit items.
Make any changes you desire to the edit items. When you are done, press ALT+C to change the alarm. Do not press the ENTER key, because this creates a new alarm.
Additional Information on the alarm function can be found on Page 267 of the “Microsoft Works Reference” 2.00 manual.
