SUMMARY
To print on legal-size paper (in either a landscape or portrait orientation) on the IBM Personal Pageprinter (Model 4216-20) and IBM Personal Pageprinter II (Model 4216-30), a modification must be made to the appropriate printer driver (IBMLASER.PRD for the 4216-20 or POSTSCRP.PRD for the 4216-30) using the MAKEPRD utility.
In Word version 5.50, the modification should be made to IBM4216.PRD for the 4216-20 or POSTSCRP.PRD for the 4216-30.
The modification is made at Byte:0 of the PCSD table. Byte:0 appears in the text file as follows:
byte:0 mod:0 “%!PS-ADOBE-2.0 MJPSp”
Change byte:0 to the following:
byte:0 mod:0 “%!PS-ADOBE-2.0 MJlegal MJPSp”
