SUMMARY
In a Microsoft Mail message, the Date field displayed in the Read window contains the date and time that the message was sent. This is the date and time of the server the message was sent from, that is, the sender's server.
The date and time displayed under the Received heading in the Summary window for this same message is the date and time the message arrived at its destination server, that is, the recipient's server.
This feature allows users to compare when a message was sent against when it was received.
