- Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, version 2.0

SUMMARY

In the Word Processor module of Works version 2.0, headers and footers must have the same font and font size.

When you select a font and font size in the Page Setup dialog box, Works changes the font and font size for both the header AND the footer. (In Page Setup, you can choose Font and/or Size from the Format menu.) For example, if you choose Geneva 10 point for the header and then choose Times 16 point for the footer, the header will change to Times 16 point.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works 2.0. This problem was corrected in Works version 3.0.

MORE INFORMATION

In Works version 2.0, the selected font will not be displayed in the Header or Footer box. Chicago 12, the default font for the Page Setup window, will be displayed.

In Works version 3.0, the header and footer can be displayed in different font styles and sizes because the header and footer windows are part of the word processor document. To change the header or footer font, choose Show Header or Show Footer from the Window menu and make the desired changes.
