To get the dynamic Time or Date stamp in a Word versions 3.0x document, do the following:

  1. Open the header and click the Time or Date icon. Select the inserted stamp and choose Cut from the Edit menu. Close the header.
  2. Position the insertion point in the body of the document where the element is to appear. From the Edit menu, choose Paste.

The Time or Date stamp appears in the new location. Word updates each of these stamps only when the document is printed, previewed, or repaginated.
