The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.1, 3.0

Summary:

The number of fields that can be seen on a data form is dependent upon the graphics card, its graphics resolution, and the system fonts installed during the Microsoft Windows setup. The option to install system fonts (that is, fonts for Windows applications) and terminal fonts (fonts for DOS applications) is available only when “Other” is chosen for the graphics card selection. Normally, these fonts are chosen by the Setup program.

The maximum number of fields that can be viewed on a data form in Microsoft Excel, however, is 32 fields. If you try to select more than 32 fields to define a database, the Data Form command gives the following message:

Too many fields in data form

If you get this message, you must redefine your database, limiting it to 32 fields (or columns). Only then is the data form displayed.
