Summary:

To put a border around an Excel chart, do the following:

  1. Choose Select Chart from the Chart menu.
  2. Choose Patterns… from the Format menu.
  3. Make line pattern and color selections.

To remove the border, do the following:

  1. Choose Select Chart from the Chart menu.
  2. Choose Patterns… from the Format menu.
  3. Choose the button labeled Invisible to the right of Style.
