SUMMARY
The following is a procedure for importing a chart from Microsoft Excel version 2.1 or 3.0 running in Microsoft Windows version 3.0 into Microsoft Word for MS-DOS version 5.0.
- Select the chart in Microsoft Excel.
- Hold down the SHIFT key and select the Edit menu.
- Choose Copy Picture.
- Hold down the SHIFT key and choose “As shown on screen” for both Appearance and Size. (This step is incorrectly omitted on page 395 of the “Using Microsoft Word” version 5.0 manual.)
- Hold down the SHIFT key and choose OK.
- Quit Excel and start Word without quitting Windows.
- Use either Insert or Library Link Graphics to import the chart.
