Pages 56 and 254 of the “Using Microsoft Works” version 2.0 manual incorrectly state that cell notes in a Works Spreadsheet document are printed first by column, then by row.

Cell notes are printed separately after the Spreadsheet document is printed. Cell notes are identified by their cell reference and are printed first by row, then by column.

For example, in a spreadsheet with cell notes in cells A1 through B10, the printing order is as follows:

  1. The spreadsheet
  2. The notes for row 1
  3. The notes in row 2, etc., through all notes for row 10

To print cell notes in a Works Spreadsheet document, select the Print Cell Notes option in the Page Setup dialog box (on the File menu).
