SUMMARY
When a Database module file is saved, Microsoft Works saves rules that have been entered in the Record Selection dialog box. When older rules are deleted and new rules are installed to make new selections, the new rules will not be retained if the No button is clicked when a dialog box asks you if you want to save the changes. Only the older (saved) rules remain.
To clear old rules that have been saved with a data file, do the following:
- From the Organize menu, choose Record Selection.
- Use the Delete button to delete each rule until the message “No Rules Are In Effect” is displayed.
- Click the Select button.
- From the File menu, choose Save.
The data file has now been saved with no rules in effect.
