Mac Works: How to Create Multiple Database Reports

This article contains information about saving reports in a database. For instructions about how to do this for your particular version of Works, see the appropriate section in the “More Information” section of this article.
The following table lists the maximum number of reports you can save in each version of Works.

Note that these reports are saved within the Works database file and do not appear as separate reports on the Finder level.
From Insert menu, choose Report.
This will bring up the New Report dialog box.
Press the TAB key to move to the fields that set the attributes for the report.
The Duplicate Report command duplicates the report currently selected, creating a report with the default name of “Copy of <name of the original report>.”
Note that the New Report and Duplicate Report commands are unavailable after the maximum number of reports has been generated. If you want to use these commands, you will need to remove one of the existing reports.
From the Report menu, choose one of the following commands:
New Report(to create a new report)
Duplicate Report (to duplicate the currently selected report).
Note that the Duplicate Report command duplicates the currently selected report, creating a report with the default name of “Copy of <name of the original report>.”
The New Report and Duplicate Report commands will be unavailable after the maximum number of reports has been generated. To use these commands again, erase one of the existing reports.
Works 1.x, 2.x
From the Report menu, choose New Report or Duplicate Report.
The New Report command creates a new report using the field order from list view. The Duplicate Report command copies an existing report.
