The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0, 3.0a, 4.0 - Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, versions 1.1, 3.0

Changes to the Default Time in the Options, Preferences menu will not be reflected in the Microsoft Project for Windows and Macintosh calendar. For example, if you change the Default Time in Options Preferences to 6:00 AM, the default working times in the Base Calendar will still be 8:00 AM. This is because Project uses the Default Time only for those situations where time entry is required, such as entering a task date without a time value. It is not used for, nor will it override, any time setting anywhere else.
