Custom defined tables are not automatically applied to data that has been imported, even though the table was selected in the Table text box in the Opening: dialog box.
The default table is applied immediately when importing data into Microsoft Project for Windows and Macintosh. After successfully importing the information, you can then apply the custom table. A workaround that allows the “custom” table to be applied is to edit the default table instead of creating a new table. Then, after importing the data, the edited table is applied.
