Function of F4 Key; Differences between Word 4.00, 5.00

PSS ID Number: Q44095 Article last modified on 11-02-1994

5.00

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

In Word Version 4.00, the F4 key repeats certain commands; however, this is not true for Word Version 5.00.

For example, if you delete a vertical tab stop in Word 4.00 and reinsert it two lines down the F4 key repeats this procedure on other paragraphs with vertical tabs. In Word 5.00, however, the F4 key inserts only a new vertical tab two spaces down and does not delete the old vertical tab. This is a design change between Word 4.00 and Word 5.00.
