SUMMARY
When using the SETUP utility to install the Word program onto a hard disk or to a floppy disk, the SETUP utility modifies the program file dates when it transfers them to the disk. The program file dates are changed to the current system time and date.
However, the SETUP utility used with Word Version 5.00 only changes the dates of two files. Those files are as follows and are combined or created during setup.
WORD.EXE SCREEN.VID
Using the DOS COPY command to transfer the files will maintain the original file dates. If the original program file dates are needed, they can be found on the original program disks.
