Using _getvideoconfig() for Analog Monitors

5.10 6.00 6.00a 6.00ax 7.00 | 1.00 MS-DOS | WINDOWS kbprg ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - The C Run-time (CRT), included with: - Microsoft C for MS-DOS, versions 5.1, 6.0, 6.0a, and 6.0ax - Microsoft C/C++ for MS-DOS, version 7.0 - Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows, version 1.0 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In the Microsoft C 5.1 Optimizing Compiler Run-Time Library, the function _getvideoconfig() does not make a distinction between an analog color monitor and an analog monochrome monitor. For both of these configurations, it puts the value _ANALOG in the "monitor" field of the struct "videoconfig." _ANALOG is a manifest constant defined in the include file GRAPH.H to be 0x0018. The function _getvideoconfig() is enhanced in QuickC version 2.0 and later, and Microsoft C version 6.0 and later to recognize analog monitors as being color or monochrome. There are two additional manifest constants defined in the new GRAPH.H: _ANALOGCOLOR (defined to be 0x0010) and _ANALOGMONO (0x0008).
