SUMMARY
In the Microsoft Works for MS-DOS Database module, you can use the following steps to hide any field when the document is in list view:
- Move the insertion point to the field you want to hide.
- From the Format menu, choose Width.
- In the Width box, type 0 (zero).
Retrieving a Hidden Field
To retrieve a hidden field, use one of the following procedures:
- Press the F8 key select the fields to the left and right of the hidden field.
- From the Format menu, choose Width.
- In the Width box, type the dimension that you want the three fields to be.

- From the Select menu, choose Go To, and select the hidden field.
- From the Format menu, choose Width, and assign a width to the field.
To retrieve a hidden field when the first field or all fields are hidden, use the following steps:
- From the Select menu, choose Record to select the entire record.
- From the Format menu, choose Width.
- In the Width box, type the dimension that you want the width to be for all the fields.
