SUMMARY

In the Microsoft Works for MS-DOS Database module, you can use the following steps to hide any field when the document is in list view:

  1. Move the insertion point to the field you want to hide.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Width.
  3. In the Width box, type 0 (zero).

Retrieving a Hidden Field

To retrieve a hidden field, use one of the following procedures:

  1. Press the F8 key select the fields to the left and right of the hidden field.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Width.
  3. In the Width box, type the dimension that you want the three fields to be.

  1. From the Select menu, choose Go To, and select the hidden field.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Width, and assign a width to the field.

To retrieve a hidden field when the first field or all fields are hidden, use the following steps:

  1. From the Select menu, choose Record to select the entire record.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Width.
  3. In the Width box, type the dimension that you want the width to be for all the fields.
