Summary:
If you have forgotten the password used to protect a file, there is no way to recover the file.
Once the password is entered, Multiplan uses a complex formula that depends on the file size, the information in the spreadsheet, and the password itself to encrypt it. The encrypted password is never stored in the same place.
For example, even though two separate spreadsheets are given the same password, the encryption and storage of each password is different. Therefore, there is no known way of recovering a lost password.
