SUMMARY

Basic's SCREEN 4 is designed for the Olivetti/AT&T high-resolution screen mode (640 x 400). This screen mode allows you to run programs that utilize the special screen mode available on the Olivetti PC, models M24, M28, M240, M280, and M380, and the AT&T PC 6300 Personal Computer series.

This information applies to Microsoft QuickBasic versions 4.0b and 4.5, Microsoft Basic Compiler version 6.0b for MS-DOS and MS OS/2, and Microsoft Basic PDS version 7.0 for MS-DOS and MS OS/2.

If you have one of the computers mentioned above, you can utilize the 640 x 400 resolution screen mode by using SCREEN 4. The computers listed above are the only computers with which this mode was tested; therefore, Microsoft cannot guarantee that the mode works correctly on any other hardware configuration.

Sharp MZ-100 Laptop with AT&T compatible monochrome display, according to an unconfirmed report from a customer.
