File: Using Apple's MacroMaker with Version 2.00

Last reviewed: October 27, 1994
Article ID: Q39906

Summary:

In Microsoft File version 2.00, a macro cannot be given a name in the Info box when creating a macro using Apple's MacroMaker. You can record a macro and save it under the default name "Untitled"; however, when the next macro is created and saved, it can be saved only under the name "Untitled", replacing any previous macro named "Untitled".

Note: Naming a macro by typing text into the Info box does work correctly using MacroMaker with File version 1.05.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in File version 2.00. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
