To create the macro, use the following steps:

  1. From the Macro menu, choose Macros On.
  2. From the Macro menu, choose Start Recording.
  3. Type “TAB” (without the quotation marks) in the Key box.
  4. Type “Performs Tab Function” (without the quotation marks) in the Description Of New Macro box.
  5. Click the Record button.
  6. Press the SPACEBAR the number of spaces you want the TAB key to move (for example, if the TAB key is to move the cursor five spaces when pressed, press the SPACEBAR five times).
  7. From the Macro menu, choose Stop Recording.
  8. Click the Stop button.

To run the macro, press OPTION+TAB, and the number of spaces specified in Step 6 will be inserted at the current cursor location.
