SUMMARY

You can disable the Microsoft Mouse and eliminate the mouse cursor from the screen in Word if you have loaded the mouse into memory using MOUSE.COM. To disable the mouse, type MOUSE OFF at the DOS prompt in the directory where MOUSE.COM is stored. The version of the Microsoft Mouse must be 6.00 or later for this procedure to be effective.

You can disable the mouse if you have loaded it into memory using MOUSE.SYS by typing MOUSE OFF, but the mouse cursor will still appear in the middle of the screen in Word.
