The Format Style Character field requires the name of a character style.

Do one of the following:

1. Type the name of the character. For example, for a character style with a variant of 4, type “character 4.”
2. Enter the key code of the character style.
3. Press F1 and select from the list of available character styles.

Note that in Word version 5.00, the Word message has changed slightly to the following:

Enter character style variant or press F1 to select from list.
