Word Err Msg: No More Footnote References

SUMMARY

If you choose Jump Footnote in Word when either no footnotes exist in the document or you are already beyond the last footnote reference mark in the document, the following error message will appear:

No More Footnote References

If you choose Edit Go To (ALT, E, G) Footnote (ALT+F) in Word 5.50 when there are no footnotes, the following message will appear:

The document does not contain footnotes or annotations.

If you choose Edit Go To Footnote in Word 5.50 when you are past the last footnote, the following message will appear:

There are no more footnote references.

To successfully move through the document, do one of the following:

  1. Manually scroll through the document.
  2. Move the cursor to text that comes before the desired footnote reference mark and retry the Jump Footnote command.
