SUMMARY
All measurements in a dot-matrix or wheel printer driver are entered in twips (except where noted). A twip is 1/20 point or 1/1440 inch.
However, laser printers don’t use twips; the basic unit of measurement for a laser printer is a hundredth (1/100) of an inch. Most use 1/300-inch units.
