File: COMMAND+SHIFT+ENTER Creates a MacPaint Screen Dump

Last reviewed: October 27, 1994
Article ID: Q38306

Summary:

When you press the key combination COMMAND+SHIFT+ENTER in Microsoft File (which normally selects the same field in the previous record), a MacPaint screen dump is created.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem when using System versions 4.0 (System 3.2/Finder 5.3) and earlier. The key combination COMMAND+SHIFT+ENTER is interpreted as the key combination COMMAND+SHIFT+3, which in later Systems creates a MacPaint screen dump called "Screen 0."

This problem was corrected in System version 5.0.
