Summary: Microsoft does not guarantee that COBOL Version 2.2 for the XENIX 286 operating system will operate correctly with the XENIX 386 operating system. The XENIX 386 operating system was not available when Microsoft Cobol Version 2.2 was introduced. Therefore, features of the 80386 chip and the XENIX 386 operating system were not taken into consideration when the compiler was written.
