Summary:

If you try to insert a new row or column into a defined array table, you will receive the following error message:

Can’t Change Part of Table

In order to insert a new value into an array table, do the following:

1. Select the range containing the array formulas generated by the table.
2. Use the Edit Clear command to erase the formulas.
3. Insert the new row or column using the Edit Insert command.
4. Add the new value to the row or column of values to be substituted into the input cell.
5. Select the new table range including inserted row or column.
6. Redefine the array table using the Data Table command.
