The information in this article applies to: Microsoft Word for the Macintosh versions 4.0, 5.0, 5.1 SUMMARY The following points give additional information about PostScript. For more information, please also refer to the Word 5.0 "User's Guide to Microsoft Word," pages 771-780. Or refer to the Word 4.0 section beginning on Page 284 of the "Reference to Microsoft Word," pages 284-288. MORE INFORMATION Table Rows The .para. group applies to the entire row when used in front of a table row. Table Cells Use .cell. to create a PostScript group that should apply to the table cell containing the PostScript. The .cell. group uses the same wp$ variables available with the .para. group; their values refer to the first paragraph in the cell. Page Dictionaries Use .dict. to create a PostScript group that contains definitions and procedures for one page. You must use this group with care. The .dict. group is intended for defining procedures to be used later on the same page, so you should not actually draw from this group. Word does not define any of the wp$ variables for .dict. groups, and Word does not change the drawing environment (origin, clipping, axes, etc.). The header is a good place for .dict. groups because the header is scanned for PostScript before any other elements of a page. The PostScript defined in the .dict. group persists only until the end of the page; there is no easy way to define PostScript that persists until the end of the document. LaserWriter drivers earlier than version 5.0 may not support .dict. groups.
