SUMMARY

If you use revision marks formatted for bold, Microsoft Word for DOS versions 4.0, 5.0, and 5.5 may incorrectly calculate the line breaks when you print your document.

Although the revised text you enter is actually bold, this problem occurs because the Format Character command indicates that the characters are not bold. Consequently, Word references the width table information for normal characters when it prints and produces incorrect line breaks.

Note: This problem only occurs with proportionally spaced fonts if the width table for bold characters is different than the width table for normal characters.
