Summary:

RFT

RFT stands for revisable form text, a format developed by IBM for transfer of documents between its word processing system and other word processing systems. RFT is the text formatting portion of the DCA (document content architecture) format developed by IBM.

RTF

RTF stands for rich text format, a format developed by Microsoft. RTF text is a form of encoding word processing documents in plain ASCII codes to allow easy transmission between programs that use the format. The format encodes text, formats, and graphics.
