SUMMARY
To use HP Overlays, byte:8 and byte:14 in the PCSD of the particular LaserJet printer driver you are using must be modified. You must delete the control code being sent at byte:8 and at byte:14, and change the mod value of byte:8 from 4 to 1.
The resulting code at byte:8 and byte:14 should be as follows:
byte:8 mod:1 magic:0 value:0 byte:14 mod:0
MORE INFORMATION
HP Overlays are macros composed of HP printer codes that allow text or graphics to be printed on the first page or each page during a printing session. For example, an HP Overlay may be a memorandum form with the titles “From:”, “Date:”, “To:”, and “Subject:”. This form can be defined as an overlay to be printed only on the first page or on every page during a printing session.
For more information about using HP Overlays when printing from Word, see your HP LaserJet manuals.
