When you play a game using the Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick, you may feel no forces in the game.

This behavior can occur if either of the following is true:

  • Your system's onboard sound card is enabled.
  • You connect the SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick to a Thrustmaster game card.

To resolve this issue, disable the onboard sound card. Please refer to your computer manufacturer or product manual to do this.

The SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick uses the external MIDI port on a sound or game card to transmit force feedback effects.

Thrustmaster game cards do not support MIDI, and are therefore unable to transmit force feedback effects.
