SYMPTOMS
When you open a note in the Outlook Notes folder, the note opens and is maximized in the full-screen mode with no apparent way to return it to a normal size.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if either of the following conditions are true:
- If you double-click the banner at the top of the note
-or-
- If you right-click the banner, and then click Maximize.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, right-click the banner at the top of a note, and then click Restore. This restores the note to its regular size. Additionally, all notes are affected by the display size you select for any given note after you close the Notes folder. For example, if you click Maximize for one note, close the note, and then close the Notes folder, when you re-open the Notes folder all notes appear maximized in the full-screen mode. This is because Outlook remembers the last setting for the window state when you close a folder.
