SYMPTOMS
When a meeting invitation response is sent from Exchange 2000 back to a Lotus Notes 4.6 client, the Notes user cannot reply to the message. When replying to the meeting response, the Exchange domain is placed in to To field instead of the full Notes type address.
CAUSE
Meeting response messages sent from a Notes invitee do not have the FromDomain property in the message. Exchange 2000 invitees have this property as part of the message, and the Notes 4.6 client is incorrectly using it as the reply address.
RESOLUTION
This behavior does not occur with the Lotus Notes R5 client. To resolve this problem, install the Notes R5 client.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
