SYMPTOMS
According to Visio 5.0 Help, you can use the abbreviation "m" to specify a duration of months in an external data file that you create to use with the Project Timeline Wizard. However, the wizard was designed to read "m" as minutes.
NOTE: A data file can be a Microsoft Excel (XLS), Microsoft Project Exchange (MPX), or comma- or tab-delimited text (TXT) file.
RESOLUTION
To create a timeline that shows a duration of one or more months, use the "w" (weeks) abbreviation instead. For example, to specify one month, type 4w in the data file.
