When you use RegEvent (a command line registration utility) to add a new file-based registrations of events where the event binding item extension is .eml, then the expected event is not fired. The following line, when typed on the command line, demonstrates the problem:
Regevent add onsyncsave exoledb.scripteventsink.1 "file://./backofficestorage/%userdnsdomain%/public folders/PubFolder1/evt.eml" -file d:\winnt\oledbtest\scripttst.vbs
Currently registering for file-based registrations on events where the extension .eml is not supported.
To work around this problem use the -url option instead.
