When you click a spreadsheet or database link on the History tab in the Microsoft Works 2000 Task Launcher, you may receive one of the following error messages:
When you click OK, the linked spreadsheet or database file and a new blank file are opened.
NOTE: This behavior may also occur when you click a link to a Microsoft Home Publishing 2000 publication on the History tab in the Works 2000 Task Launcher. Home Publishing 2000 is a component of Microsoft Works Suite 2000.
This behavior can occur if you double-click the spreadsheet or database link on the History tab in the Works 2000 Task Launcher.
When you double-click the link, the Works 2000 Task Launcher attempts to open two instances of the linked file. Although the first instance of the file opens successfully, the second instance of the file generates the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
To prevent this issue from occurring, make sure that you click the spreadsheet or database link on the History tab in the Works 2000 Task Launcher only once.
