You can sort your Inbox or any other Outlook folder that is in a table view.

To sort your Inbox or any other Outlook folder that is in a table view:

  1. Click the column heading for the first sort criteria, such as Received. This will sort all of the items by the date and time you received them.
  2. Press and hold the SHIFT key, and then click a second column heading to sort by, such as From.

When you click any column heading, you clear the multiple sort criteria.

When you press the SHIFT key, and click an already sorted column, you change the direction of the sort.

For more information about Sorting, click Microsoft Outlook Help on the Help menu, type Sorting in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topic.
