SYMPTOMS
You may see the following event in Event Viewer:
CAUSE
This event occurs when more than 20 packets are filtered by a Proxy Server packet filter rule. 20 of these events in the packet filter log trigger event ID 120.
You see Pfxxxxxx
.log files, where xxxxxx
is the date of the log file, in the Packet Filter logs located in the %SystemRoot%\System32\Msplogs folder.
You may see an entry with a form similar to:
2/14/00, 7:47:37, 206.50.45.1, 206.50.45.255, Udp, 520, 520, -, 0,206.50.45.230, -, -,
This entry shows that on 2/14/2000, a UDP packet from 206.50.45.1 destined for the broadcast address 206.50.45.255 was filtered successfully (0 = blocked packet) on the 206.50.45.230 interface.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
