SYMPTOMS
When you view the properties of two different public folders that have the same name at the same level in the folder hierarchy in Exchange System Manager, the same properties are displayed for the two public folders.
CAUSE
This problem can occur because when you create two folders with the same name on two different servers at the same time, and then let them replicate, you create two folders with the same name and same URL. Exchange System Manager uses the URL to get the properties for the folder.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, rename each folder to a different and unique name. When you do so, Exchange System Manager can locate each folder and retrieve the correct properties.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
