SYMPTOMS
During a NetMeeting call, one or more participants may be unable to view the Whiteboard tool.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Whiteboard tool in NetMeeting 3.x is not compatible with earlier versions of NetMeeting.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use either of the following workarounds:
- A participant using NetMeeting 2.x should start the Whiteboard tool during the call. This action starts the older version of Whiteboard, which all NetMeeting meeting participants can use.
- A participant using NetMeeting 3.0 or later should click Whiteboard (1.0-2.x) on the Tools menu. This action starts the older version of Whiteboard, which all NetMeeting meeting participants can use.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
MORE INFORMATION
If all meeting participants use NetMeeting 3.0 or later, the standard (new) Whiteboard starts by default and all users are able to use the Whiteboard tool.
