SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x on a computer that has PointCast Inc.'s PointCast Network 2.6 installed with PointCast as the default channel definition format (CDF) channel viewer, and you confirm that you still want PointCast to be your default CDF channel viewer, you may not be able to access news articles and so on in PointCast Network. This may occur on a computer running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 4.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, in the PointCast application choose PointCast as the default Web browser.
