SYMPTOMS
When you start Outlook 98 Setup and attempt to install Internet Explorer Add-On Components, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when you install Internet Explorer 5.0 before installing Outlook 98. Outlook 98 is designed to work with Internet Explorer 4.0 and does not recognize Internet Explorer 5.0.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, install the Windows 98 Gold version.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
