SYMPTOMS
If a client computer is running Internet Explorer 4.0, and the security option is set to Medium low, when you configure the computer using Internet Explorer Administration Kit 5.0, the security settings are cleared in the Internet Explorer 4.0 browser.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the Medium low security setting is not recognized in Internet Explorer 4.0. Internet Explorer 4.0 does not customize security, instead it leaves all security levels that are set to Medium low blank.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, configure a security level that is recognized by both versions of the browser.
