SYMPTOMS

When you export data to your Timex Data Link watch, some date range text boxes in the Outlook Import and Export Wizard display the year as 100. When you step through the wizard, you receive several type mismatch errors. Once the transfer of data is completed, the incorrect date appears as '00 on your watch.

If you select Current time and time zone information in the wizard, the exported day of the week is off by one day.

WORKAROUND

Manually change the date from 100 to 2000.

To correct the day of the week, press the Time Set button on the watch to recalibrate the current settings.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

If you use either Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000, but you are using the Outlook 97 version of the Data Link support file, Outltimx.dll, you will experience the same symptoms.

To correct this, obtain and install the updated version of the Outltimx.dll (v. 2.0.0.1, available on the Outlook 98 CD, or v.2.0.0.9, available on the Outlook 2000 or Office 2000 CD).

To install the updated version, copy Outltimx.dll to the following location:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Convert
