SYMPTOMS

When you start for the first time the 3D Home Interiors Deluxe version 2.0 software by Mattel Interactive on a computer that runs Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you are prompted to install the catalog files, and then you may receive the following error message:

Failed to find catalog file

If you click OK, the 3D Home Interiors Deluxe program may stop responding or you may receive the following error message:

3DHI caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module 3dhi.exe at 0167:0040e323

CAUSE

This behavior may occur because Windows Me installs Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) files that are incompatible with the 3D Home Interiors Deluxe version 2.0 program.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you must download and install the 3D Home Interiors Service Pack, located in the 3dpatch.exe file. This Service Pack can be downloaded from the following Mattel Interactive Web site:

This behavior may also occur on systems that have Microsoft Office 2000 installed. Office 2000 installs Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) version 4.x files that are incompatible with the 3D Home Interiors Deluxe version 2.0 program.
