SYMPTOMS
If you receive a signed e-mail message and then attempt to add the sender to your contacts, you may receive an error in Crypt32.dll.
CAUSE
This problem occurs on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, with the Crypt32.dll file for Windows NT 4.0, Service Pack 5 (SP5), and when the signed message contains a dual purpose certificate.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
